McCORMICK, RALPH W. 85, of Vineland & formerly of Malaga, passed away on Thursday afternoon April 18, 2013 in the SJH HospiceCare Inpatient Care Ctr., Bridgeton. Mr. McCormick was born in Camden, raised in Egg Harbor & was a longtime resident of Malaga prior to moving to Florida where he resided until returning to Vineland in 2002. He was the son of the late Josephine (Gretsky) & William S. McCormick and the husband of the late Gloria N. McCormick (nee Young) who died in 2010. Before retiring in 1983 with 33 yrs of service with the Rail Road, Ralph was employed as a Signalman for the Penna-Reading-Seashore R.R. prior to the merger into Conrail. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the V.F.W. & the American Legion. He was also a member of the Malaga Vol Fire Co. & a N.J. State Exempt fireman. Ralph obtained his private pilot's license in 1950 and enjoyed taking his family & friends up flying. He was also an avid hunter & fisherman and also enjoyed going camping. He is survived by one daughter & son in law; Debra & husband Jay Braidi, E. Vld. Three sons; William "Bill", Keith & Glenn McCormick all of Malaga. Five grandchildren; John W., Smantha L. & Leah V. Braidi, Amanda & Glenn McCormick, Jr. Two brothers; George & William Kendall. Two sisters; Dolores "Honey" Grant & Marie Rodgers. Brother in law; Sidney Young, Malaga as well as several nieces & nephews Relatives & friends will be received on Wednesday 4/24/13 from 9:30-11:00 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ where his funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM. Burial will be private in the Malaga Methodist Cemetery, Malaga, NJ.
