Peter Russell Neil May 30, 1921 May 6, 2013 We are saddened to announce the passing of beloved husband and friend to Lil and terrific father to Darrel, Jack (Sandy), Karen (Ross), 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many, many friends, leaving all who knew him with fond memories including his sense of humor and pranks. Peter was predeceased by 6 brothers (Duncan, Harold, Bunny, Bordie, Vernon and Jack), 5 sisters (Rita, Eileen, Kay, Betty and Helen). Peter was born in Prince Albert, Sask. At a very early age he came to Giscome, BC and worked at Eagle Lake Sawmills until joining the army
in active service for the Saskatoon Light Infantry until the end of W.W.II. Peter met and married Lil in Dec 1946 in Red Deer, Alta and they moved to Giscome where they settled and started a family. Resided there until moving to Prince George in 1966. Peter worked for Eagle Lake Sawmill until it became Northwood Pulp and then Canfor. He continued working for 39 years until he retired. A special thanks to Jubilee Lodge For the excellent love and care he was given for the past 6 years. No service by request. A celebration of Peter's Life to be announced at a later date.
