ALLYSON CATHRYN TAYLOR (nee Warwaruk) March 16th, 1963 December 19th, 2012 With broken hearts and disbelief, we sadly have to announce that Allyson passed away in the early hours of December 19th, 2012 at the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Health Centre, Vancouver, wrapped tightly in the loving arms of Jeff and Nick. She was admitted to UHNBC Nov. 22, and medi-vac'd to Vancouver Nov. 27. Although her battle was very short, she fought it so very bravely and intensely, undergoing massive doses of chemo, many platelet and blood transfusions, as well as many other procedures to try to beat this disease. Allyson was born March 16th, 1963 in Prince George, B.C. to Mike and Victoria Warwaruk. She will be missed terribly by her husband Jeff (married 22 years), and son Nick. Survived also by her Dad Mike, her brother Michael (Bev), their daughter Kerri (Cory) Wanner and little Murray, sister Tracey, Melissa McInnis (God-daughter), father and mother in-law Les and Darlene Taylor, brother in-law Kevin Taylor (Amber), and son Jeremy, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many wonderful friends…..especially her closest girlfriend since kindergarten......Brenda Sitter (her look-alike twin!) , her second 'Mom" Eldrid Dube, and all the special people she worked with at Peterbilt over the last 25 years, as well as all the people she has dealt with at Peterbilt…….truck drivers from the southern states to Alaska and across Canada all knew and loved Allyson, she was the 1st person to greet them when they walked through the door. Allyson was pre-deceased by her Mother, Victoria (1999). Allyson met Jeff in their grade 12 year at PGSS in 1981. They married 9 years later in 1990. There wasn't a happier couple than when Nick was born in 1993. Allyson was a most loving wife and mother. She was 'Mom" also to all Nick's many chums who were always coming and going from their house. She was always the Mom who made the cakes , cookies or cupcakes for all the school functions. She was THE best cookie baker and decorator ever… and the cupcake QUEEN!! Allyson made every birthday, anniversary or any special date on the calendar REALLY special for many people.…….and Christmas was her favourite one of all, with baking for everyone and the house all decorated beautifully with Christmas music playing constantly! She crammed as much into her short 49 years as she possibly could, with special holidays with Jeff and Nick, to Europe, the east coast, Cancun, Disneyland, around B.C. and northern States, skiing at Whistler and Sunpeaks, and special summers on their boat in the gulf islands and this summer out to Kitimat and down the Douglas Channel, as well as all the happy times around the campfires at Cluculz and Ness Lakes, and their Thanksgiving family get-a-way at the beautiful Cariboo Cabin at Sulphurous Lake these past few years. She always had her camera ready and took thousands of photos , which she made into exquisitely beautiful photo scrapbooks. The family would like to thank Dr. Christian Fibich, Oncologist, Dr. Ingrid Cosio and Dr. Lawrence Fredeen from Prince George, all the Doctors and the wonderful, cheerful, up-beat nurses she had down at the Leukemia Unit in Vancouver….she received the most excellent care and they were all such wonderful, caring people. We especially want to thank Dr. Nadine Caron, and Dr. Pat Turner from Prince George, who went down to Vancouver numerous times and checked in on Jeff and Allyson, over these past few weeks , giving such wonderful support, and also for the generous use of their condo close to the hospital. Also, we will be eternally grateful for Nadine's assistance, support and love, as she stayed at the hospital with Jeff, Nick and Allyson the last evening and night. Every angel will now have their own personalized cupcakes or cookies decorated especially for them! Further information will be forthcoming in early January.
