Craig O'Neill (b. Montreal Sept 12, 1929-d. Jan 18, 2013), eldest son of four children. Craig O'Neill was a handsome man and had an adventurous life. As a teenager he worked in Montreal, at 17 he joined the Merchant Marines and traveled to ports around the world. In 1949-52 Craig was enlisted in the Princess Patricia Light Infantry in Alberta. In his 20's he installed electric security systems across eastern Canada. In Toronto, he married his skating sweetheart Olga, raised 4 children and ran his sheet metal/fuel business in Markham Ontario. In 1971 western Canada beckoned and he moved his family to a trappers cabin at Chief Lake. Craig built a new home where they raised livestock, sled dogs, danced at Nukko Lake Hall and skied the mountains. Craig retired from the Department of Highways in 1984 to enjoy adventures with his grandchildren while building a log home and crafting wooden boats. In 2009 Craig and Olga left Chief Lake for the convenience of the Prince George. He is survived by his wife of 59 years , Olga, and children Terry (Laurie), Chris (Cassanda), Michelle (Doug), Diane (Erik), grandchildren (Daniel, Charles, Leigh, Margaux, Peter), his sisters, Joan and Sheila and many friends and relatives. Craig was predeceased by his parents (John and Mary Jane O'Neill), brother (Michael) and infant son, Patrick.
