Dr. David Malcolm Hodges It is with great sadness that the family of David Hodges announces his death on December 1st. David is survived by his wife, Dale, of 46 years and his three children, Michelle Matthews, Natalie Bogh (Jason), and Andrew Hodges (Sandy Jameson). His grandchildren were the "icing on the cake" and he enjoyed watching them grow, learn and discover - Troy and Allison Bogh, Eric, Christopher and Elizabeth Matthews, and Sarah and Travis Hodges. He is also survived by his sister Anne Wingfield and brother, Peter Hodges (Wendy). David was born on July 8, 1942 to Howard and Helen Hodges in Montreal, Quebec. He graduated from McGill University with a B. Sc. In 1964 and from Dentistry at McGill in 1969. As he was helped with expenses in Dentistry by the Armed Forces, he served 5 years with them in Petawawa and Borden, Ont. In 1974 he moved the family to Prince George, B.C. where he practiced dentistry for 31 years. David had a love of Forensic Science and he took pride in representing Canada in Thailand after the tsunami helping to identify the victims. David was very active in the community - he was heavily involved with the 4-H for many years while his children were younger and established the PG Pork Prodders. He also served on the Regional District Council and was a Director of the Fair Board. He worked with many others in establishing the School of Dental Hygiene at CNC. For the last few years he worked with others to establish The Friends of Pine Valley which he felt was an important resource in our community. He will be remembered and missed by many. A very special ``Thank You`` to the wonderful staff at the ICU in The University Hospital of Northern B.C. - they took such great care of him and the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the P.G. Hospice House or a charity of your choosing. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 8th from 1 - 5 p.m. at The Kinsmen Hall at 777 Kinsmen Place.
