Edward Alexander Moffat Better known as Ted Moffat, he has moved on to join his grandfather A.B. Moffat and his father H.A. Moffat in their heavenly home. Perhaps they are planning a second Northern Hardware and Furniture store or maybe they are fishing, curling, traveling, golfing and reuniting with other family members or even throwing the tennis ball for their dogs. Ted was born in Prince George, BC on Oct 17th, 1939; parents Harold and Helen Moffat. He was proud to be a born and raised Prince George Boy! He did go to the prairies to find his wife Gloria Jean (Glazier) Moffat. Together they raised a son Dan Edward Moffat (wife Marla) and Kelly Jean Green (husband Andrew). He was not only a proud parent but also a very proud grandfather - Addison Jean Fawcett, Sophie Jean Jensen, Ryder Sydney Green, and Brynn Beryl Jean Green and step granddaughter Brianna Johnson. Ted was a big brother to Marilyn (Jack) Blair and Valerie (Bill) Kilbey. Ted seemed to love meetings as he was actively involved in many city and provincial organizations, such as BC Rail Board, BC Forest Alliance, Prince George Child Development Centre, Prince George Track and Field Club, Prince George Old Time Fiddlers, Downtown Business Association, Theatre North West, Prince George Golf and Curling Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Home Hardware and many more. He built up a strong network of friends both in his business world and in his private life. Ted loved his work! No one enjoyed going to work more than he did and was very fortunate to have his son and daughter join him in his business. Ted has worked with family all his business life; grandfather, father, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ted was a supporter of his families' activities. You would have seen him sitting in the bleachers at basketball and volleyball games, lining the football field, listening to the church choir special presentations, watching soccer matches, timing and judging track and field events, and also financially supporting their interests. A memorial service will be held at Knox United Church but the date is still to be determined.
