REMPEL, ISAAC JAKE , born, Feb. 13, 1946, at home on a small farm in Nipiwan, Saskatchewan passed away, January 26, 2013, at the end of a glorious day snowmobiling with friends. Isaac is survived by his loving companion of 22 yrs; Coleen, his mother Christina, 2 daughters Dianna (Dave) and Tammy (Brian), 4 grandchildren; Mara, Holly, Carson , Katie and one great granddaughter; Kadance. Brothers; Henry, Gordon, Barry, Ritchie and sisters; Kathi, Martha, Janet, Elizabeth, Jolly & numerous extended family & friends. Isaac was predeceased by his father Jake, and his brother Bruce. Isaac was a man of many talents and loved life to the fullest. Willie Nelson singing "On the Road Again" truly describes this free spirited man. He drove bus for Greyhound for 30 yrs with one 5 yr break in real estate. He retired at age 60 only to begin a new journey trucking for 3 yrs in Alberta. Another career opportunity was waiting in the wings as he took a barbering course in Vancouver for 7 months. Then he and Coleen returned to Prince George where he kept many friendships thriving at Tim Horton's, the golf courses, playing pool, hunting, biking, and enjoying outdoor fall activities. Isaac loved making connections with people from all over and had a great love of music, especially the Old Country Classics & Johnny Cash. He could often be heard strumming a tune on his guitar. His passions were many, but foremost was his love of the backcountry and his two daughters and his grandchildren. He was a man of integrity with a heart of gold, always humorous and laughing. He will be missed in this world but has left his mark on all who loved him and enjoyed his company. His road has changed, he now rides the skies His choice of wheels be they bike, truck or sled Watching from high it's us he sees His spirit forever free There will be a Celebration of Isaac's life to be held in the late spring and a formal announcement about this will be made. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation.
