Roy Groeneveld Obituary

Roy Groeneveld July 3, 1940 - February 6, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of our loved one Roy. He hopped on his train ride to heaven Saturday. His loving wife Mary, son Colin (Katrin), daughter Taya and grandsons Kyle and Nate made sure he got on the train safe and sound with much love to carry him through his journey. His siblings Betty (Sig), May (Jim) and Floyd (Debby) are left to mourn as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Prince George Railway Museum on Saturday, April 30 at 1 – 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity dearest to your heart.

Our condolences to the Groeneveld family. We first met Roy and Mary and family many years back at Cluculz Lake at the annual Groeneveld family get together. We enjoyed the laughter and games, the horseshoe tournament and the fireside stories. He surely could make us all laugh. Roy's memory will live on through his family and friends.
