A funeral service for Mr. Carrol V. Harper Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at the Gravel Run Baptist Church, Dinwiddie. Burial will follow at the Jones Family Cemetery. Inadvertanly ommited from the obituary was a sister-in-law, Virginia Coleman. The family will receive friends at residence, 6835 Boydton Plank Road, #186, Petersburg. Viewing will be today at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Joseph M. Johnson & Son Funeral Home, 530 S. Sycamore St., Petersburg, 804-863-4411.
