Christine Moncol Belsches, 96, a lifelong resident of Prince George County, and widow of James Cobert Belsches, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susie Balint Moncol; and was also predeceased by a sister, Emily M. Mistr, and a brother, Andrew Moncol.
A retired Fort Lee civil service employee, she was a charter member of Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Prince George Woman's Club.
Mrs. Belsches is survived by her sons, Alan Thomas Belsches and wife, Jane of Dothan, Ala., and James Cobert Belsches Jr. of Petaluma County, Calif.; grandchildren, Sara Green and husband, Justin of Memphis, Adam Belsches and wife, Philippa of Crozet, and Theodore Belsches of Birmingham, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Belsches, Andrew Belsches and Thomas Belsches; brothers, Paul Moncol and wife, Virginia of Surry, and Dr. Daniel Moncol of Raleigh; sister, Helen Tankersley of Olympia, Wash.; and a devoted friend, Jo White.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Beverly Bullock and the Rev. Nancy Clark, officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gregory Memorial Presbyterian Church, 6300 Courthouse Road, Prince George, VA 23875. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

Christine was a friend and neighbor that I will surely miss. We had many happy lunches and talks together, as well as visits in her home and at Brighter Living. She was a gracious and beautiful lady who loved to speak of her family. She loved and treasured you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Aunt Christine will be missed so much. Such a devoted Aunt to my father and uncle. Always enjoyed visits and hearing about family. My sympathy goes out to Alan, Jimmy and their families.
