Alice Louise Charvat, 89, of Prince George, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Frank Charvat; sons, Thomas Grammar and Robert Grammar.

She is survived by three sons, Herbert Grammar and wife, Rose, of New Richmond, Ohio, Clyde Grammar and wife, Joyce, of Hephzibah, Ga., and Michael Charvat and wife, Janet, of Prince George, Va.; three daughters, Barbara Hite and husband, Dailey, of Pine Grove, La., Clara West of Prince George, Va., and Viola Beem and husband, Edward, also of Prince George, Va. She was blessed with 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of River's Edge Bible Church since 1968, but has been in the Dinwiddie Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past few years. Throughout her years, she enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, and many people have been blessed by her beautiful quilts and crafts.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the funeral home with the Rev. Sandra White from One Body in Christ Ministries officiating.
