ANGELA W. DIXON

On Monday, April 8, 2013, "Angie" slept peacefully away. Our beloved Mrs. Angela Wyatt Dixon, 51, of 8850 Lake Jordan Lane, Petersburg, Va., departed this life and now lives an everlasting life with God the Heavenly Father. A native of Dinwiddie County, she was born on Jan. 6, 1962, to the late Lawrence R. Wyatt Sr. and Lucy G. Wyatt.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Level Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, where she was a lifelong member. She was a graduate of Dinwiddie County Senior High School and Norfolk State University, and was employed at Virginia State University. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and was devoted to friends and family. Her generous heart and wonderful personality are among our most precious memories. Angela had a good sense of humor and enjoyed singing, music, TV and Michael Jackson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence R. Wyatt Jr.

Her love and memories will linger in the hearts of her family forever. She is survived by her beloved husband, Elmer Adam Dixon; a son, Adam Jarel Dixon (Jerrica); a daughter, Lawren Cherelle Dixon; three sisters, Jeanette W. Moore (Douglas) of Dinwiddie, Sandra W. Fletcher (Maurice) of Chesapeake and Valerie W. Caperton (William) of Sutherland. She had many devoted in-laws, Linda Dixon of Colonial Heights, Christopher Dixon (Contrella) of Terrelle, Texas, Kim Dixon (Brenda) of Petersburg, Delores McClain (Charles) of Virginia Beach, Shirley Rhodes (Willliam) of Durham, N.C., Elwood Dixon (Mildred) of Coatesville, Pa., and Harvey T. Dixon of Durham, N.C.; two special nieces, Cherice Fletcher and Mechelle Moore; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and among them a devoted friend, Temeshia Vaughn.

A funeral service for Mrs. Angela F.W. Dixon will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Mt. Level Baptist Church, 14920 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, Va.; the Rev. Bernard Coleman, pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at Mt. Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
