David A. Phillips Sr., "Day Day," 60, of Dinwiddie, Va., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home.
David was born Sept. 15, 1952, in Petersburg, Va., to Clifford and Delores (Bolton) Phillips. He was a seasoned truck driver and a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved Christmas and spending quality time with friends and family.
David is survived by his wife, Christine Elizabeth Phillips; four children, David A. Phillips Jr. and wife Raeleen, Samantha Jean Phillips, Jesse R. Phillips and fiancée Alice, Daniel T. Bryant; adoptive family member, Shannon Patterson; eight grandchildren, Rodney, Maeleen, Giovanni, Autumn, Leila, Miranda, Mikayla, and Melody; his two beloved dogs, Roscoe and Elizabeth.
A celebration of life and memorial will be held on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge, 7212 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, Va. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance of a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
