Mrs. Delores Ann Thomas of 17779 Lebanon Road, Spring Grove, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her residence.
Born on Aug. 14, 1943, to the late John Robert and Blanche Mae Williams of Waverly. She was predeceased by: her daughter Charlotte LaVern Williams; brothers , John Robert Williams, and Larry Williams.
She was a member of Power and Praise, Hopewell, under the leadership of Pastor James Clarke. Mrs. Thomas was a friendly person, always laughing, willing to give a helping hand at any time and loved attending church.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her devoted husband, Mr. Theodore Thomas; daughter, Mrs. Maxine Allen (Chastine) of Charlotte, N.C.; granddaughters that she raised as her own, Ms. Tysheena Williams and Ms. Dasani Williams; four stepchildren Mrs. Hope Brown (David), Ms. Amanda Hicks, both of Prince George, Mr. Martin Thomas, of Hopewell, and Mr. Michael Thomas, of Sussex; grandchildren, Latoya Allen, LaKeisha Reid (Derrick), Antione Allen (Nicole), Chastine Allen, Annette Williams, Michael Williams (Amanda); 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Williams (Francis), Norman Williams (Gertrude), Willie Williams (Ernestine), Wilbert Williams, Nathaniel Williams (Tonya), Adam Williams (Barbara Ann), Donald Williams (Gail); sisters, Sadie Mason (James), Fannie Williams and Ruth Pettaway (Robert); uncle, Willie Jones; aunts, Ethel Mae Taylor, Mozelle Gray, and Elizabeth Drew; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends, amongst the friends devoted Estelle Lewis and Karen Smith.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church, 310 W. South Blvd., Petersburg, with Pastor George Howard, officiating, and Bishop James Clarke, eulogizing. Interment will follow at the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Prince George.
