On Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, God called one of his angles, Ella T. Massenburg, 69, of 20509 Ravenborne Drive, Ettrick, Va., a native of Sussex County, Va.

She was a preceded in death by her husband, James A. Massenburg; mother, Bessie Taylor; and father, Johnnie Taylor; brother, Thomas Taylor; and a sister, Alice Jones.

She was a member of Hunting Quarters Baptist Church, Stony Creek, Va. Ella retired from Lucy Corr Village, Chesterfield County, Va.

Left to cherish her memories are: a son, James Massenburg Jr. (Melissa) of Petersburg, Va.; granddaughter, Shemika Massenburg of Chesterfield, Va.; one great-grandson, Justin Thompson; a sister, Gloria Taylor of Stony Creek, Va.; brother, Leon Taylor (Janice) of Prince George, Va.; sister-in-law, Alice D. Taylor of Petersburg, Va.; brothers-in-law, Thomas E. Massenburg of Petersburg, Va., Joseph Massenburg of Waverly, Va., George L. Massenburg and Clarence P. Massenburg (Nancy), both of Stony Creek, Va.; aunts, Earlene Johnson (George), Ruth Gilliam (Lewis), Maggie Meekins (Calvin); a devoted friend, Rebecca Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Mrs. Ella T. Massenburg will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Hunting Quarters Baptist Church, 16166 Hunting Quarters Baptist Church Road, Stony Creek, Va., the Rev. Dr. Carroll W. Robb, pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at the church cemetery.
