Estella B. Greene

Ms. Estella B. Greene entered peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her residence. She was a lifelong native of Petersburg.

She was the daughter of the late Edward Spencer Waller and Emma Vivian Jones. She was also preceded in death by: her brothers, Lewis Waller Sr. and Spencer M. Waller Sr.; and sisters, Barbara Glenn, Nina Mae Madison, and Gloria Elaine Waller.

She rededicated her life to Christ and joined the Union Baptist Church in Hopewell.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, devoted-Robin C. Waller (Robin's fiancée, Desiree Patterson), and Donnie L. Waller; a daughter, Cynthia R. Jones; granddaughters, Chia and Tempestt Waller; great-grandson, Josiah Waller; great-granddaughters, Ameshia and Ka'Lyah Givens, and Ja'kira Waller; sisters, Vivian B. Harris (Russell), Eleanora Keys, and Sheila M. Pettaway (Leon); a loving aunt, Maggie Payne Edwards (Norman); devoted nephew, Paul Waller; devoted friends, Deacon Jean Hawkins, Bernice Wyche and Carolyn Taylor; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends.

We also thank the wonderful nurses who took excellent care of Ms. Greene until her passing, Ashley Bergenhagen, Zainad Dumbuya, Tina Nelson of The Cardiac Connection, and Kristen Recupero of Medi-Home Health and Hospice.

A funeral service for Ms. Estella B. Greene will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at Union Baptist Church, 212 Terminal St., Hopewell, the Rev. Joshua King, pastor, and the Rev. Leon Pettaway, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
