Glen Lee Rasnick, 86, of Chester, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

He was the son of the late Hobert and Millie Stanley Rasnick, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer S. Rasnick, Hampton H. Rasnick, John LC Rasnick and his wife, Betty, George B. Rasnick; sisters, Margaret R. Dean, Angeline R. Martin and her husband, Anderson "Sarge," and brother-in-law, Elwood R. Hewlett. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Navy seaman, second class. Mr. Rasnick owned and operated Rasnick Upholstery Shop with his wife for over 50 years, was a charter member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee and a Sunday School teacher, a member of Hopewell Masonic Lodge #289 A.F.A.M. for 50 years. Glen loved gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Hannah B. Rasnick; daughters, Sandra R. Norwood, LaDonna R. Nelson and her husband, Bernie; son, Glen L. Rasnick and his wife, Yvonne; grandchildren, Stephanie (Chris), Brian (Sarah), Audra, Paul; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lydia, Cole, Brooke; brother, James Rasnick; sister, Lucille R. Hewlett; sister-in-law, Elsie Rasnick; brother-in-law, Johnny Dean; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, in Bermuda Memorial Park with Pastor Phil Andrews officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 3808 Woodlawn St., Hopewell, VA 23860. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.
