Gregory E. Duffek II, went into the eternal hands of the Lord on May 11, 2013, at Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond. Born on May 7, 1984, in Petersburg, he was a resident of Prince George County, but recently of Colonial Heights. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, George Schickley Sr. of Bloomsburg, Pa., and Gilbert D. Duffek Sr. of Disputanta.
He is survived by: the love of his life, his daughter, Skylene Nevah Duffek of Colonial Heights; his mother, Christine S. Kiaser of Hopewell; his father, Gregory E. Duffek Sr.; his stepfather, Mark Kiaser; his grandmothers, Christa McGee of Richmond and her husband, Don, and Martha E. Duffek of Disputanta; two uncles, George Schickley Jr., and Gilbert D. Duffek Jr; and one cousin, Casey C. Duffek.
Greg attended Prince George High School and attained his GED in 2002. He was a member of the Prince George marching band, playing the trumpet. Greg owned tattoo shops in North Carolina, Richmond, and presently, a shop in Colonial Heights. This was his life's dream. He did numerous fundraisers for his community. He also collected toys for Sgt. Santa in Richmond. He also loved animals, his dogs and cat. His services will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Petersburg. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m.
His funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on May 16, 2013, in the chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg, with burial following in Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
