Our miracle man went to sleep until our Heavenly Father awakens him.

Mr. Henry J. Jackson, affectionately known as "Foot," of 141 Slagle Ave., Petersburg, Va., passed away suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va.

He was born to the late Richard Henry and Corine P. Jackson. Henry was preceded in death by his first grandson, Wayne Demario Jackson.

"Foot" was employed by JW Enoch, Hopewell, Va., Moore's Lumber Co., B.P. Short Paving Co., Petersburg, Va., and Prince George Paving Co., Prince George, Va.

Henry leaves to cherish his memories, a lovely wife of 45 years, Brenda Jackson; three daughters, Tammy Tatum (William) of Dinwiddie, Va., Carla Jackson and Jennifer Jackson, both of Petersburg, Va.; three sons, Eddie Williams of Newport News, Richard Jackson and Anthony Jackson, both of Petersburg, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Corey Jackson, Charla' Jackson, Corneilius Jackson, Sandy L. Harris, Xavier L. Jackson, Courtney N. Tatum, Camille D. Tatum, Eddie L. Williams Jr., Anthony J. Williams, Davonte T. Williams, Jai J. Taylor and Andrice Thigpen; 12 great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Jackson (Helen); two sisters, Mary Bennett and Colena Skelton (James); a host of nieces, nephews, friends, among them, Norris Eley (Margaret) and George Jones (Annette), truly devoted.

Funeral services for Henry will be heldat 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, from the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God In Christ, 233 Halifax St. Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Jeffrey L. Dodson Sr., pastor. Elder Ronald Lowery of Refreshing Streams Ministry, Richmond, Va., will officiate. Interment will be in the Dinwiddie Memorial Park, Petersburg, Va.

Public viewing will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, Va. Online condolences may be registered at www.jldodsonandsons.com.

Henry was a lover of feeding birds. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that bird seeds and flower seeds be donated to them at the residence.
