God called home our special angel on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va. Ida was born to Agnes and Willie Marshall on July 10, 1937, in Augusta, Ga. Ida was also the eldest girl of seven children.

Ida was a woman of many hats and throughout her life she was the first women in Stamford, Conn., to work at the Sanitation Department as a registered nurse. Ida was also a hairstylist but most of all she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Marshall; father, Willie Marshall; and a brother, Michael Marshall Sr.

Ida will be greatly missed by her devoted daughter, Corellia "Cessie" Hudgson (Scotty) of Petersburg, Va.; one son, Patrick Marshall of Bridgeport, Conn.; five grandchildren, Jahtaya (Anthony) and Shanae Hudgson, both of Petersburg, Va., Keith Cummings of Stamford, Conn., Christina and Marza Hudgson, both of Bridgeport, Conn.; three great-grandchildren, A'Zan Green, Kordai McCray and Logan Frenzley, all of Petersburg, Va.; siblings, William Marshall (Gene) of Stamford, Conn., Mary Hamer (Howard) and Christina Owens, both of Georgia, and Carol Mansell of Bronx, N.Y., and a host of nieces, nephews, and good friends.
