Ida Robinson King, of Ettrick, Va., ended her fight with cancer on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

Born May 10, 1940, in Goochland, Va., she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elsie Robinson.

She is survived by three sisters, Audrey Dillard (Todd), Juanita Gabbin, Linda Fleming (Herman); two brothers, John Henry Robinson (Barbara Jean), Montgomery Robinson (Dorothy Turner); seven special nieces, one devoted, LeNette Davis; four special nephews; devoted cousin, Earlene Craighead (Clyde); a host of other relatives and friends; a special neighbor, Sylvia Morgan; devoted and beloved friend, Roosevelt Robinson.

Many generations of friends and relatives benefited from her cosmetology skills for 48 years as owner and operator of Suzette's Beauty Salon.

Her remains rest at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, 2530 Dogtown Road, Goochland, Va. Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at St. Mark Baptist Church, 4596 Factory Mill Road, Maidens, Va., the Rev. Gregory Washington, pastor; Dr. Marshall Burgess, eulogist. Entombment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
