Mr. James B. Junior II, 53, of 5115 Yellowstone Drive, Dinwiddie County, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond.
He was born May 16, 1960, to Shirley Boisseau Junior and the late retired Staff Sgt. James Burnette Junior I, at Fort Dix, N.J. He attended the Petersburg Public School System and was a graduate of the Class of 1979.
James was no stranger to work. He was employed at Rubicon and Phoenix & Peace, and previously worked at Popular Springs Hospital and Southside Regional Medical Center.
Left to cherish his precious memories, his devoted wife, Sandra P. Junior, two loving daughters, Jamie R. Ruffin (Antonio) and Jamica B. Neal (Tarvis), stepson, André L. Saunders, all of Dinwiddie; four grandchildren, Jay'la and Antonio Ruffin, Javyhn Wooten and Markayona Neal; a devoted mother, Shirley M. Junior of Petersburg; two sisters, Vera P. Fairley (Christopher) of Prince George and Col. Joyce B. Junior of Woodbridge; one brother, Kenneth L. Junior (Ramona) of Fresno, Calif.; a special grandmother, Thelma Nollin of Dinwiddie; mother-in-law, Vestine Bonner of Dinwiddie; four sisters-in-law, Ann Jackson (Charles), Vickie Garnett (Garrett) and Walicia Cole (Ronald), all of Petersburg, Shelia Allen (Richard) of Prince George; one brother-in-law, Shelton Bonner of Prince George; devoted family, Jackie Thompson and Aleisha Manson, both of Dinwiddie; special friends, Yolanda Junior (mother of his children) and James Crawford, all of Petersburg; three nieces, Sylvia Haller, Tia Fairley and April Fairley; three nephews, Christopher Fairley Jr., Marcus Junior, Derek Junior; and a host cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Services for Mr. James B. Junior II will be held noon Thursday, March 20, 2014, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
