James E. Rogers

James Edwin Rogers, 24, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

James was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joan Bennett.

He is survived by his mother, Melisa Bennett of Petersburg; his father, Jeffrey Rogers and wife, Kathi, of Prince George; three brothers, Rob Bennett of Petersburg, Christopher and David Rogers, both of Prince George; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Shirley Rogers of Carson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road, with the Rev. Tammy Hayes and the Rev. Pamela Rae Seeley officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
