Kenneth W. Moore

Mr. Kenneth W. Moore departed this life on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at his residence. Born June 27, 1947, in Evanston, Ill., and moved to Virginia at the age of 10. He was the son of the late Alvette Moore and Phelton Moore. He had three siblings, Audrain Drew, deceased; Johnny Tyce, deceased; and Eugene Holt.

He is survived by: his six children, Alfreda Scott of Dinwiddie, James Greene (Denise), William Greene (Tanette), Virginia Nancy Scott (James) and Kenneth Moore (Darlene), all of Petersburg, Tara Moore-Copeland (Derrick) of Kannapolis, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Kenneth was employed with Southern Construction, Brenco and Crowder's. He enjoyed going to the Hall and doing crossword puzzles. Kenneth was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah. Mr. Moore was a very gentle and easygoing man that made friends wherever he would go.

Kenneth had a very special place in his heart for his ex-wife, Virginia Moore, who was there to the end. He had very special friends of the hall which included, Mr. William Roudette, who he spoke of often.

A funeral talk for Mr. Kenneth W. Moore will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 575 Old Wagner Road, Petersburg, Brother Thomas Todd. The interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at the funeral establishment.
