Louise McCullough Putney, 73, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, at John Randolph Medical Center.

Born in Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred V. and Dorothy Henshaw McCullough, and the widow of Richard K. Putney. Mrs. Putney was a member of West End Baptist Church, the Hopewell Moose Lodge, and a volunteer with the Colonial Heights Food Pantry.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah B. Miner and husband, Jesse S., of South Chesterfield, and a son, Warren E. Birdsong Jr. and wife, Becci, of Nags Head, N.C.; four grandsons, Robert W. Purdie, Justin, Jordan and Jeremy Minter; a sister, Ellie Jones; two brothers, Bobby and Glenn Henshaw; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the , 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
