Mr. Ronald Nathaniel Coureton peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. Ronald was born on Nov. 10, 1949, in Petersburg to Thaddeus N. and Dorothy C. Coureton.

He was employed with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. for more than 10 years. Ronald worked as an independent contractor for the remainder of his working life. His diverse talents included carpentry, artistry, designing and building personalized electronics, and miscellaneous household jobs for many Tri-Cities clients. Ronald enjoyed the single "sporting" life and music with many-many friends over his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus and Dorothy Coureton, and his sister, Rose E. Coureton.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters, Yvonne Coureton of Petersburg, Jean Collins of Chesterfield and Carol C. Henry (Courtney) of Middleburg, Fla.; one brother, Dannyboy Coureton (Patricia) of Petersburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, among them devoted, Rthe ev. Dr. Andrew J. White Sr. and Mrs. Gracie White, Kim Stocks, Carl Reid, Kenny Crockett and Patrice Winnegan.

Services for Mr. Ronald N. Coureton will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.; the Rev. Dr. Andrew J. White Sr., eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
