Mr. Ronnie O. Street, 56, of 24004 Fieldshire Drive, Petersburg, Va., died on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va.

Born Tuesday, April 17, 1956, he was the son of Howard and Bettie Sue Street. Ronnie was employed with the Chesterfield County public school system, where he retired after dedicating more than 30 years of service.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted mother, Bettie Street; devoted brothers, Norman N. Street (Sandy), Herbert Street (Barbara) and Jeffery Street (Revita); devoted sisters, Kathy Street and Janice Wynn; aunts, Gaynell Cook, Beula Jones, Virginia Pegram and Catherine Street; uncles, Benjamin Jones, and Rev. William Street; stepdaughter, Bonita Greene; nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly, Chante' Crawley, Victoria Goodwyn, Tiana Beasley, Jenay Fisher, Takaiya Geter, Amya Street, Tiara Street, Marvin Wynn Jr., Alphonso Goodwyn, Jeffrey Mason and Quinton Goodwyn; one great-niece; six great-nephews; devoted friends, Michael Ellis, McCoy Ellis, Waverly Gholson, Bruce Shell, and Mike Evans.

A special thanks to Alphonso Goodwyn, Michael Ellis, Sandy Street for all the loving care and time they gave to Ronnie.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Mount Level Baptist Church, located at 14920 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, Va., with the pastor, Rev. Bernard Coleman, officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel and at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Petersburg Chapel, 530 S. Sycamore St., Petersburg. 804-863-4411.
