Rose M. Riggins

Rose Marie Riggins, 66, of Dinwiddie, passed away on April 16, 2014. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Irvin Harris and Catherine McFedrick; and was also preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Riggins Jr.

Mrs. Riggins worked at What-A-Burger in Colonial Heights where she was a cook for many years.

She is survived by: her three children, Wanda Gibbs and husband, Billy, Dwayne Riggins and fiancée, Jody, and Cathy Tucker and husband, Bubba; nine grandchildren, Little Billy Gibbs, B.J. Tucker, Whitney Gibbs, Priscilla Gibbs, Justin Storey, Gabriele Gibbs, Austin Tucker, Hunter Tucker and Angel Riggins; one great-granddaughter, Hayleigh See; a sister, Barbara Jean Henshaw and husband, Horace; sister-in-law, Shirley Nealy and husband, Milton; lifelong friend, "Money" Coleman; and numerous nieces ;and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
