
Russell Roy "Rusty" Mack III, 21, of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the Medical College of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dick Harrah. Rusty was a graduate of Colonial Heights High School Class of 2009 and Richard Bland College Class of 2012. He was a millwright apprentice, a member of the Local Union 1402, Powhatan Hunt Club, and a former member of the Colonial Heights High School wrestling team.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Belinda H. and Charles L. Cardwell of Colonial Heights; father and stepmother, Michael and Lori Pierson Mack of Dinwiddie; brother, Brandon Cardwell of Colonial Heights; grandparents Kitty Harrah, Russell and Elfie Mack, George and Cecile Pierson, and Maureen Cardwell; aunts and uncles, Andy and Terry Mack, George and Liz Pierson, Sharon and Billy Pearson, Carol and Bryan Clayton, Ron and Katrina Cardwell; cousins, Amber Mack, Chris Ray, Katie Pierson, Maggie Pierson, Mitch Harrah, Jackie Harrah, Sean Voigt, Justin Pearson Jeremy Cardwell, Noah Cardwell; and many other loving family members.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Ave., Colonial Heights, VA 23834, with the pastor, Chuck Crocker, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
