Victor W. Starr

Mr. Victor Wayne Starr, 35, of 2711 Millpond Road, Disputanta, passed away on Father's Day, June 16, 2013, in Hopewell. Victor was born on Jan. 8, 1978, in Richmond, and was the son of the late Russell Wayne Starr. He was educated in the Dinwiddie County Public School System where he also played football. Victor later attended John Tyler Community College, Chester, and served in the United States Navy as a Navy Seal. He was employed by DuPont as an operator.

Left to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Samantha Ann Jeter Starr; three daughters, Mekayla, Mya, and Karess; one sister, Wendy Grimm; and a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends, among them best friend, Joseph Dunnigan.

A service of remembrance will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at from the chapel of the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, Bishop Vincent Harris of Cathedral Holiness Church, Richmond, officiating.

The family is asking relatives and friends to assemble at the J.L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment at 5:45 p.m. on the day of the service.
