On Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Southside Regional Medial Center, Ms. Victoria Elizabeth Green was called home to be with her Heavenly Father. Victoria was her first name, but many people called her Liz, Mac, Lizabeth or Vicky.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1956, in Petersburg, Va., to Lorraine M. Green. She received her high diploma from Petersburg High School in 1976. She had worked since the age of 15. She was the "Rock" of her family. She was loved by many, highly respected and never had a problem with nobody. Victoria was a very independent woman who never cared or wanted help from anyone.
Victoria loved shopping, cooking and sewing. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Everyone that came in contact with Victoria loved her to pieces.
Victoria's everything was Octavia V. Green and Paris R. Green, Lamarian J. Green and George L. Johnson Jr. who will truly be missed by them.
She was preceded in death by her baby brother, Mark Green; uncles, Earl McLaughlin and Roosevelt McLaughlin; and her best friend, Laverne Allen.
She leaves her legacy behind to her two daughters, Octavia V. Green (George L. Johnson Jr.) and Paris R. Green; grandson, Lamarian J. Green; mother, Lorraine M. Green; two sisters, Nadine Allen and Carolyn Johnson; two brothers, Jimmy "Crip" Green and William Green; devoted lifelong friends, Twin, Calvin and Mozelle Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A service of love and remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.; Pastor William Wright, eulogist.
