Wayne Stone Cuddihy, 55, of Chester, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014, in Hopewell, Va.
He was the son of the late Myrtle Stone Cuddihy. Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and son, he was a gentle man who gave his love unconditionally. He was devoted to his family and friends. Wayne applied his bright, curious and generous mind to his work; he took great pleasure in solving problems, especially when the solution would benefit someone other than himself. After serving in the United States Air Force as a telecommunications specialist. he worked as a production manager and assistant plant superintendent before starting his own contracting/handyman business in 2003. Wayne loved playing darts, fishing and anything else that involved being around his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Cuddihy; daughter, Katie Cardwell and her husband, Chris; father, Roy Lane Cuddihy; brother, Roy Lane Cudddihy Jr.; sister, Rhonda Ann Sutton and her husband, Kelly; beloved nieces and nephews; and many friends whom he considered family.
