Arthur Robinson Obituary
He was the son of the late Charles and Martha Robinson. A native of Petersburg, Va., Mr. Robinson was educated in the Petersburg School System and furthered his education in Kilmer, N.J. He was a retiree of Brown and Williamson, Defense General Supply Center and a self-employed roofing contractor.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Lee Robinson, Charles A. Robinson Jr., Clarence Robinson, Billy Robinson, Theodore Robinson, Sarah Balentine, Annie E. Hueston, and grandparents, William and Elizabeth Mitchell Robinson.
Mr. Robinson leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Deborah E. Robinson; daughter, Lisa Walker; son, Gregory Lewis; nine grandchildren, Latheus Robinson, Lamar Robinson, Nydasha Robinson, Andre Hamlin, DeAndre Hamlin, Gregory R. Lewis, Courtney Jones, Shawn and Shonda Robertson; three great-grandchildren, LaMonye Robinson, LaMari Robinson and Ke'Mari Robinson; son-in-law, Harold Walker; daughter-in-law, DeAnna Lewis; four sisters-n-law, Virginia Robinson, Isabelle Robinson, Darlene Barbour and Hazel Barbour; one brother, George Robinson of Columbus, Ohio; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; a devoted caretaker, Lamar Robinson; and a few special friends, Willie B. Jones, James Williams, Joseph Benjamin, Jimmy Jones and Leroy Green.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc.,102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 1359 Lincoln St., Petersburg, Va., and may be contacted at (804) 255-3185 or (804) 397-7005.
