Reba Wells Obituary

Ms. Reba T. Wells, "Little Reba," of 1487 Halifax St., Petersburg, Va., entered eternal peace on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Wells and Elnora Robinson Wells. Reba was also predeceased by her brothers, Tony and Larry Thurston Wells. Reba was born May 1, 1945, and was educated in the Petersburg Public School System. She was a member of New First Baptist Church and was employed by Carter Wallace. Reba adored sterling silver jewelry and loved music.

Reba is survived by her sons, Raheem Wells (Roslyn) and Rashaun Wells; an aunt, Alease Watson; sisters, Carrie Ratliffe and Marilyn Wyche; sister-in-law, Catherine Winbush; beloved grandchildren, Imani, Crystal, Iyonnia and Naheem; nephews, Dwayne Ruffin and Tico Wells; nieces, Gloria Gee, Margo Turner (Jerry) and Cileita Wells; great-nephews, Jahkobee Ruffin, Sentwali and Sundiata Shango; several loving family and lifelong friends, Joyce Belfield, Gilbert Bland, Coke Buford, Diane Byrd, Elder Ray Clarke, Linda Clarke, Martha Coley, Calvin Epps, Bertha Glenn, Rebel House, Jean Jones, Hyacinth Lewis, Ester Tucker, Roy Williams and Sandra Wilson. Reba will be greatly missed by numerous others.

A special thanks to the staff at Liberty Dialysis Inc., Southside Regional Medical Center and Colonial Heights Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

A joyous homegoing service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at the chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va.; Elder James Clarke, eulogist, and the Rev. Edward L. Fox, officiating. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble 12:30 p.m. at the funeral establishment.

Family and friends will assemble noon at 1519 Floyd St., Petersburg, Va., and may be contacted by calling (804) 733-2823.

To Reba family i am so heart broken she has been like a sister to mr for around forty years.we shared the same birthday, and i feel so bad that i could not be contacted,it has broke my heart that i could not be there for you her special family ,who i know she loved so much , and as someone said yes she is up there with mother,and i know god needed a angel and it was her time. i so will miss our late night talks about her making me a leather coat. well i never got it so when see her again i wont need it then. i ,so hope the family will get in contact with me. i love you all very much,and loved reba uncondisally please know i feel your pain and please get in touch shockley

My heart goes out to the family and friends of such a wonderful, strong, & fun loving lady. The angels are going to have a hard time escorting you to heaven because your heart is made of solid gold and I am thankful I was able to experience some of that through your children.
