To The Family:
Our deepest sympathy.
We love your mom ..., your sister ..., your grandmother ..., but, God loved her best and thought that she need not suffer any longer, so He took her home with Him to rest.
Over the years when I would ask your loved one how she felt, her response most of the time would be: "blessed, highly favored, and glad about it." She was blessed and highly favored, not because of her possessions, material things or fashion, but, because of the relationship she had with God our Father. She truly was a woman of God. Elder Powell prayed for her family, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as the lost souls of this world. One of her favorite scriptures that demonstrated how she cared about all of us is 2 Chronicles 7:14 --- "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
The Lord blessed Elder Powell with many gifts and talents, some of which were praying, sewing and singing. The sewing is how I met your loved one. I heard of this wonderful woman of God, who could make fabulous lap scarves and church banners, and then I sought her out to have her use this talent for my church. She always wanted to please the Lord and her pastor, Bishop A.F. Burgess.
I will miss our conversations of inspiration and encouragement.
Love,
Margie & Eugene, & Family

bridal accessories, crafts, and don't forget Intercession "I Chronicles 7:14." Most importantly,Debbie loved the LORD JESUS.

"I would like to offer my condolences to The Powell Family. I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget and always appreciate Elder Powell's support of my son, Bishop Anthony F. Burgess down through the years as a faithful member of his church, nor will I forget the special things she's done for me and how she had been a support to my family during the demise of my Grandmother. Her prayerful demeanor and support was such a comfort to my family, I will always be grateful for that. She will be greatly missed. My prayers are with the family."

Debbie--so sorry to hear of your passing--but I believe God knew what was best. You will be missed and I can still hear you singing at the beginning og Merrick Park's broadcast--"If You've Tried Everything And Everything Has Failed, Try Jesus". The Powell family will be in my prayers---Patricia A. Washington "Pat" and family
