Edward L. Williams Sr.

Edward Leon "Bunnie" Williams Sr., 60, of Disputanta, Va., died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg.

He was the son of the late Charlie and Mable Williams. He retired from Pine Crest Timber Co. of Waverly after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of Walking In The Faith Ministry, Petersburg, Va.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife, Jean Deloise Williams; three sons, Edward Leon Williams Jr. of Hopewell, Travis Tramaine Williams of Disputanta, Dexter Leon Goodwyn of Washington, C.C.; eight daughters, Rachel Carter (Henry), Dendron, Venus Stanford (Charles), Petersburg, Tyrus Adjepong, Petersburg, Tara Gyapong (David), Petersburg, LaTonya Williams, Disputanta, Crystal Williams (Brandon), Disputanta, Charlotte Taylor (Xavier), Waverly, and Earneshia Jones, Waverly; 25 grandchildren; two grea-grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters; five brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive family and friends from 6 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at Tucker's Funeral Home. The family will assemble at the above residence at 11:45 a.m. The funeral will be held at Wings of Faith Ministries, 2155 Jamestown Drive, Petersburg, Va. (beside Budget Inn on U.S. Route 460), at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010; the Rev. Antonio Tucker officiating. The eulogy will be delivered by Elder George Wilkerson. Interment will be in Mt. Minnis Memorial Park, Chester. Remains rest at the Tucker's Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg. A.A. Tucker, funeral director.
