Amelia McDonald Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Essig Brame, and the widow of Stanley L. McDonald. Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her son, Buddy Wray.
She is survived by four daughters, Cathie Lucy Abernathy and husband, Walton, of Gasburg, Connie H. Myers and husband, Dennis, of Petersburg, Bobbie Wray Rhodes and husband, Kenneth, of Colonial Heights, and Dottie W. Harvanek and husband, Steve, of Colonial Heights; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; caregiver and granddaughter, Anna Beck.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Deborah Fair officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (tonight) at the funeral home. I'm very sorry to hear your lost. I don't really know what to say but She in a better place now and she does not have any pain. God may bless her soul forever...She is like been part of my life since when i first meet her...She will always be in our hearts...GOD BLESS!
