To Joan's family -- My hustand was Joan's cousin, Cully Dalton (son of Dorothy Grizzard Dalton). She was always a delight to visit at home, or at the Cousin's Get-togethers at Virginia Diner. I loved to 'catch up' on what all she had been doing in the months between meetings. Her memory is a good one and gives me joy in remembering!! My prayers go to all her dear family as they rejoice in her life, and now live with her memory for comfort and peace. Godblessusall -- with LOVE -- Elinor Ritchie Dalton (in Va Beach)

Mike, Randy and Terry-Many years ago your Mom and I spent many hours together while our husbands were working. Our children Judy and Joey used to love our visits because Joan and I played cards, ate garlic dip and just let the kids be kids. Judy and Patsy were especially close. Joan and I helped each other out with baby sitting and just learning to be Moms together. I know she must be elated to be with her beloved Glen and Patsy. My heart goes out to all of you.

Dear Haswell Family,
Joan was my special first cousin as we were close in age and spent much time together during our tean years. I shall indeed miss her as we had recently spent some time together. With her limited driving I tried to pick her up to attend some of our special outings. Who knew that time was short and I could not continue to do this. I certainly will miss this as well as other times with her. My prayers will be with all of you as you grieve her passing. She is in a better place with no more pain. I am in Petersburg so remember me if I can ever help any of your family. God Bless.
