Ronald Faison Obituary
Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Harry Ennis and Ethel Murray Faison. Mr. Faison was a member of the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, the Sons of the Confederacy, and a benefactor to the National Rifle Association. He was a retired draftsman with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda M. Faison; his children, Lesley Lynn Faison of Colonial Heights, Brian Faison and wife, Nicolle, of Colonial Heights, Lori E. Dixon and husband, Ken, of Chester, and Libby Faison Brown and husband, Waverly, of Chester; seven grandchildren, Drew Dixon, Ryan Elaine Dixon, Trey Brown, Loren Brown, Nicholas Faison, Courtney Faison and Hunter Faison; a sister, Carol Faison Ridout of Chesterfield.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Rev. Ronnie West officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, Children's Building Fund, 17201 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. My wife and I will miss our Christian brother. We first met nearly 20 years ago through the Sons of Confederate Veterans and have been friends ever since. I will miss our visits at Colonial Heights Baptist. Our prayers are with Ronnie's family as they go through this time of loss. May God be with you all.
