Virgie Archer Obituary

Virgie Turner Archer, 74, of Prince George, died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Mrs. Archer was one of 12 children of the late Charlie and Grace McClenny Turner and the widow of Garland M. Archer. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Essie Stevens and Elsie Elder.

Mrs. Archer is survived by seven sisters, Margie Copeland, Christine Cameron, Betty Daughtrey, Irene Williams, Mary Turner, Margaret Turner and Audrey Turner; two brothers, Charlie Turner and Clifton Turner; devoted nieces and nephew, Janet C. Schwalm, Donna C. Slate, Sharon C. Dunn and William Comer Jr.; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A funeral will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 South Crater Road. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Monday evening, June 18, 2007, at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or contributions can be made to ALS Foundation, 27001 Agoura Road, Ste. 150, Calabasas, CA 91301-5104.
