Alan August Obituary
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Mr. August served his community in many ways, some of which are: past president of Brith Achim Synagogue, past president of Swift Creek Mill Dinner Theater, West Richmond Rotary Club and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Cohen August; son, Adam August and his wife, Brooke, of Potomac, Md.; daughter, Meredith Cheifetz and her husband, Stephen, of Philadelphia; and grandchildren, Lauren, Ben, Jessica, Ava, Maya and Alex.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Brith Achim Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Brith Achim Synagogue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
