I read about this in the Sussex-Surry Dispatch today when I got off work and couldn't believe the words I was reading. I knew Alfred back in Surry Public Schools. I remember during an open house in 1st grade we both arrived at the same time in Mrs. Judkins classroom. While we were sitting by the book shelf, we made our introductions, and while we were talking, he offered me one of his Tootsie Pop suckers. That act of kindness always has stuck with me, and it showed how great of a man Alfred was. I am deeply saddened by the news of his loss, and my heart-felt apologies and prayers go out to the entire Piker family. RIP Alfred. You'll be missed. Now you can go up and put a smile on God's face. You were always good at doing that.

First, my condolences go out to the Piker family. When I first met Beanz, it was 8 am and he was smiling. They say the first impression is a lasting one and this is what I know to be true. Beanz, physically you are not here, but your laughter and smile are just a small amount of what you left with us. Save me a comfortable spot man....I will miss you. You were too good to be here and you were needed to recieve your wings. Watch my back for me. I got MAD love for you and will always remember you!

Joyce and Mr. Gholson, my heart goes out to you all on the lost of your one and only child. I am still in total shock and disbelief. Beans was a fine and respectful young man. Our family loved him so and this has hit us so hard. I have shared many of tears at his loss. I will be praying for you and your family to find comfort in the word of God.
