Mrs. Ann S. Williams, "Tillie," born October 27, 1937, to the late Wesley and Isadora Simmons departed this life on August 4, 2018. She attended Peabody High School, graduating with the Class of 1955 and years later she graduated from Saint Leo College with her Bachelor of Arts in 1995 after obtaining her Associate of Arts in 1994 there as well. Tillie attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Petersburg, VA. She was employed with Allied Chemical now known as Honeywell where she retired after 38 years.

She enjoyed looking at The View, Wendy Williams, and The Animal Channel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Williams; sister, Isadora Brown; brother-in-law, Adrian "Charlie" Brown; sons-in-law, Steve Wesson and Norman Carter Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories children. Drexton T. Carter, Sr. (Janine), Terriciena A. Brown (Dennis Sr.), all of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Benita Williams Wesson of Petersburg, VA; grandchildren, Danielle Carter, Drexton Carter, Jr., Jasmine Carter, Jordan Carter, Mindu Allah (Carita), Makeyin Allah Sr. (Tiffany), Mareal Allah (Sheila), Dennis A. Brown Jr. (Myshaila), all of New York, Kenneth Smith, Jr., Brianna Williams, and devoted granddaughter, Benisha A. Hannah, all of Petersburg, VA; nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Timothy and Carlton Williams; devoted nieces, Adrianne Green, Andretta Whitfield, LeShawn "Missy" Green, all of Petersburg, VA, Louise Hill of Brooklyn, NY, and Theresa Harris of Hopewell, VA; nephews, Robert Hill and Robertnette Turner; cousins, Audrey Hall, Jackie White, Ronald White and Carolyn Byrnes and The Windham NY family. A host of other friends and family members amongst them devoted, Angel Channel, Josephine Jones, Christine Morse, Louise Weaver, Danny Danielle, Sharron Poole, Hosea Halcomb III, John Prosise, Kenneth Smith Sr., Rhoda Halcomb, The Williams Family, and "Marlo," her dog.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018, at J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., with Reverend Merle Keene eulogizing. Interment to follow at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
