Mrs. Barbara A. Wilson, "Bob," of 1813 Little Deer Road, Alberta, Va., passed away on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, Richmond, Va.

She was born on Aug. 7, 1944, to the late Mr. Henry Jones and Mrs. Annie Bell Jones.

Mrs. Wilson was a cook at the Nottoway Restaurant for 10 years and enjoyed sewing as a sewing machine operator for over 30 years. She was a member of the Hickory Run Baptist Church of Rawlings, Va., where she served on the Usher Board.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, William Wilson of Alberta, Va.; a daughter, Patricia Hammonds (James), of Grovetown, Ga.; sister-in-law, Margaret Jones; two grandchildren, Denesha Jordan (Christopher) of Columbus, Ga., and Sharilya Hammonds of Grovetown, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Dathan Jordan of Columbus, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at 11 a.m., from the Hickory Run Baptist Church, 225 Rawlings Road, Rawlings, Va., with Pastor Robert Lewis, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Remains will rest in the church one hour prior to service.

Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence of Ms. Annie Mayo (cousin), 784 Kress Road, Rawlings, Va., at 10 a.m. on the day of the service.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the J. L. Dodson and Sons Funeral Establishment, 25824 Greensville Ave., Petersburg, Va. Condolences may be registered online at www.jldodsonandsons.com.
