Barbara Harris Obituary
She was born on Feb. 13, 1947. She devoted her life to Christ at an early age Barbara attended Petersburg Public Schools. She was employed for 30 plus years at Southside Virginia Training Center. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five loving children, Thomas Goode Jr., Jacqueline Taylor, Don-Juan Goode Sr., Aretha Goode and William Goode; nine grandchildren, LaKisha Goode, Benjamin Goode, Demetra Goode, Crystal Goode, Don-Juan Goode Jr., Yakima Claiborne, Yanique Claiborne, Dashawn Goode and Jamonte Hanks; one great grandchild, Jaquez Bonner; a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at the chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Ave., Petersburg, Va., with the Rev. Dr. Andrew J. White Sr., pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Petersburg, officiating. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the 1211 Paul St., Petersburg, and may be contacted by calling (804) 479-8519 or (804) 255-3349.

Dear Children & Grandchildren, God has removed Mrs. Barbara from our lives physically, but we will always have her warm smile, her big heart, and loving memories. God will even allow us to feel her presence sometimes. Just remember how much she loved you all! Treasure her memories, Stay close to God and each other!
