Mr. Bentley Jerome Glenn of 21003 Butler Court, Ettrick, Va., departed this life's journey on Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at VCU/MCV Medical Center, Richmond, Va.
He was born on Aug. 9, 1967, in Richmond, Va., to Benjamin F. Glenn and Mary L. Harris.
He attended school in Dinwiddie County Public Schools. Bentley was baptized at a young age at Mt. Level Baptist of Amelia County, Va., where he stayed a member for quite some time.
Bentley had many hobbies that he loved to participate in, including riding motorcycles and working on cars. Bentley loved technology and gadgets, and was very much into computers and electronics.
Later in his life he was joined in matrimony to Lakia P. Banks on July 11, 2001. To this union three children were born. Bentley was preceded in death by his grandparents that will never be forgotten, Jessie Harris Sr. (Dorothy) and Johnnie Glenn (Lillian).
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Lakia P. Glenn; three children, Keion Glenn, Kiana Glenn and Briana Glenn; a devoted brother, Randy Glenn; loving parents, Benjamin F. Glenn and Mary L. Glenn. He also leaves a daughter from a previous marriage, Jasmine Glenn; a host of devoted aunts and uncles including: Jessie "Sherman" Harris Jr. (Inez), Larry Glenn and William Glenn (Eva), several devoted cousins including: John "Bubba" Harris, Kelly Harris, Leon Worsham, Lloyd "Bobby" Harris Jr. and Jerry Harris.
A funeral service will be held 12 noon, Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Mt. Level Baptist Church, 901 Wills Road, Amelia, Va., the Rev. Charles Shannon III. pastor, officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble 11:30 a.m. at the church.
The family will assemble 11 a.m. at 21003 Butler Court, Ettrick, Va., the day of the services.
