Obituary Condolences

Bernard Andrew "Andy" Wynn, 61, of DeWitt, VA, died Thursday, September 13, 2018. Andy was one of four children born to the late Robert Givens Wynn and Dorris Harding Wynn. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Wynn, a grandson, Kaden Wynn, and Dale Earnhardt.

Andy was a fan of NASCAR, drag racing, and baseball. He especially enjoyed sporting events that his sons were involved in while growing up. A hard working man, Andy enjoyed building and fixing things, and just about anything that required working with his hands. He had a soft spot for the less fortunate, liked to crack corny jokes, but most of all, he loved his grandchildren very much.

He is survived by his wife of 42 ½ years, Connie Slaughter Wynn; sons, Scott Wynn and Shawn Wynn (Rachel); grandchildren, Karly, Mallory, Kailani, Tyson, Kenzey, and Ridley; a brother, Michael Wynn; a sister, Rita Wynn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Andy was a dog lover and left behind Ginnie, Cody, and his Bloodhound, Louie, who died the same day.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home followed by interment at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 12400, Richmond, VA 23241 or Western Heights Baptist Church, 24426 Cox Road, North Dinwiddie, VA 23803. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
