Our beloved, Ms. Chanelle LaNeise Massenburg of 1215 Bland St., Petersburg, Va., was called home to live with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va.

Born on Sept. 27, 1988, Chanelle was a 2006 graduate of Petersburg High School and was employed at Food Lion Store in Dinwiddie, Va.

She was preceded in death by her nephew, Master Jarrell Bugg Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving mother, Wandion Brown (Norman) to whom she was an angel; father, Paul Parker (Kim) of Homestead, Pa.; daughter, MyKaela J. Baskerville, the apple of her eye; two devoted sisters, Shantelle Massenburg of Petersburg, Va., and Sophia Hill (Joshua) of Front Royal, Va.; grandmothers, Ernestine Massenburg and Williemeaner Pegram, both of Petersburg, Va.; grandfathers, Thomas Massenburg of Petersburg, Va., and Willie Perry (Antoinette) of Virginia Beach, Va.; aunts, Virginia Taylor (Terry) and Jackie Perry both of Petersburg, Va.; Kimberly Perry of Dinwiddie, Va., Melba Walker of Virginia Beach, Va.; two uncles, Vincent Perry and Tyrone Perry of Petersburg, Va., and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, great-great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives, friends and extended family, including her godmothers, Wanda Streat (Clarence) of Ettrick, Va., and Pamela McBean of McKenney, Va.; devoted friends, Crystal Armstead, Chris Barnes, Devon Pulley, DaWayne Birchett and Richard Baskerville.

Homegoing services for Ms. Chanelle L. Massenburg will be held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Galilee Baptist Church, 12392 Lee Ave., Stony Creek, Va., the Rev. Dr. Linwood A. James Sr., pastor, eulogist. The interment will to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
