Obituary Condolences

Dr. Charles H. Moseley Jr., 87, of Petersburg, Va., passed away August 9th, 2018.
Dr. Moseley composed:
On April 11th, 1931, on a cold day with rain and sleet, Dr. Hudnoll Ware delivered a budding Dr. for Nancy and Charlie Moseley, Sr. and from that point on the bud grew into an OBGYN who fell in love with thousands of women, my business, my pleasure.
Graduating from South Hill High School I went on to graduate from Hampden Sydney College and then from the Medical College of Va. I interned at Johnston Willis Hospital then joined the Navy for six years where I learned the amount of caring for ladies. Afterwards I was on my way to begin in a practice with Drs. Frank Payne and Sam Grizzard at Petersburg OBGYN.
Along the way I married Jane Anne Greene and we conceived four of the greatest children you could ever hope for: 1. Gayle Moseley Sutton with children Liz Sutton who had daughter Logan Snyder and Hilary Sutton Tackett, husband Austin who had Bryson, Levi and Warner Tackett; 2. Charles H. Moseley III (Chuck) and wife Lisa - hence Charles H. Moseley IV (Charlie) and Thomas Scott (Tommy) II and stepson Joshua Brindley (With son, Noah); 3. Beth Moseley Carnes with husband Raymond and son Colden; 4. Kathy Moseley Sims with children Marian and Tripp.
I've enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, my practice and the wonderful friends and extended family.
I later married my last true love Barbara Pomeroy with whom I traveled extensively, enjoyed my rejuvenation and passion for life and our Potomac River home in Coles Point, Va. (Hog Heaven).
I was a member of many medical societies and enjoyed my church life from South Hill, Richmond, Portsmouth, Key West, Petersburg and lastly Coles Point United Methodist Church in Coles Point, Va.
I was predeceased by the best parents imaginable, Nancy and Charlie, and a great little brother, Thomas Scott who died at age 8.
LIFE has been GREAT and I am ready for Chapter 2. See you later!
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 15th at 2nd Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. with reception and celebration of our father's life at Country Club of Petersburg following. On Thursday, August 16th a brief graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill, Va., at 11 a.m. A later service will follow at Coles Point (to be announced). In lieu of flowers charity to the 2nd Presbyterian Church of Petersburg, Va., is much appreciated.
