CLARENCE E. CLEMENTS Obituary
Clarence E. "Cutter" Clements passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of January 9, 2019. Cutter was born in Waverly, VA, on March 25, 1931. He was the son the late M.T. and Eva Clements.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, rides to the mountains, and woodworking. Cutter was proud of his service as a Paratrooper in the Korean War with the 187th Airborne Regimen, and was a longtime friend of the veterans having dedicated over 10,000 hours of volunteering with the VFW Post 2239 at the McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is known and loved by many throughout Prince George County and the surrounding areas, for his many years as a builder.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Martha Daniel Clements and his special friend and longtime companion, Joyce Emmons.
Cutter is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including great nephew Mickey Clements and his son Chase of Prince George, VA, and his adopted in heart daughter and granddaughter, Carolyn and Allie Cullen of Prince George, VA.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd. Petersburg, VA 23805. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Voluntary Service, Fund #1002, Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock Blvd. Richmond, VA 23249, or Encompass Hospice, Attn: Encompass Cares, 6688 N.
